Our Wedding

It all started at The University of Alabama in a Student Government Association meeting–Sam was running for office, and Margaret was looking for her moment to become a campaign manager. It turned out to be the perfect duo! After a campaign win and the start of sophomore year, we found more than just friendship at the first date party of the year, infamously nicknamed the demolition disco. College was full of adventures: Crimson Tide football games, dressing up for date parties, and cheering each other on in our social and professional lives. After graduation, Sam decided to stay for three more football seasons at UA’s Law School while Margaret moved to Nashville to start a career in marketing. We learned to make the most of short weekends together, and after year two, added our pup, Blue to the mix. By summer 2025, Sam and Blue made the official move to Nashville, and we were finally all in the same city. To celebrate Sam’s graduation and taking the bar, we took a dream trip to Italy where we got engaged and made it official. We were becoming the Rickerts! Through every phase, this one has definitely been our favorite, and we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with all our friends and family.

Noelle is located in downtown Nashville and will host our rehearsal dinner and Friday night welcome party to kick off the weekend with cocktails and music. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s rooftop bar, hidden speakeasy, and on-site restaurant and coffee shop. Noelle is about 10 minutes from the ceremony and 22 minutes from the reception, making it a convenient home base for the weekend.

Graduate by Hilton Nashville is located near Vanderbilt University just outside of downtown. Guests can enjoy White Limozeen, the rooftop bar inspired by Dolly Parton, along with a downstairs coffee shop. The Graduate is about 5 minutes from the ceremony by car or a 15-minute walk, and approximately 20 minutes from the reception.

Located in downtown Nashville’s Printer’s Alley, Courtyard by Marriott Nashville Downtown is next door to Noelle, where we’ll host the rehearsal dinner and guest welcome party on Friday night. The Courtyard is a 10-minute drive to the ceremony and 22 minutes from the reception.
